A little post to say that I am finally going to get my degree!
I have taken the plunge and registered to get this ole brain back into learning mode.
I know my body seems to think that I am geriatric (anyone else make noises just standing up or knees click walking upstairs?) and my brain feels slow but according to official documentation I am only in my mid-30’s.
Now I know to some of the young ones (not the awesome TV show) I am considered ancient. Particulary as my year of birth starts with a “1”.
Oh shock! I must not be down with the kids.
That’s cool. I don’t want to be anyway. I can have cake for breakfast, so a fair trade I think.
Why now?
The point of me dusting off the brain matter and taking this creaky skeleton back to education, is that we do plan to travel in the future, this will help to get a job wherever we decide to settle.
It also feels like the right time. W is older and doesn’t need me as much, which grants me a little more time. I’ve also found a direction that does interest me and think it would help me grow, personally and professionally.
I will also be able to plan and schedule things a little easier now too.

This isn’t to say I don’t have other qualificiations. I have a myriad of qualifications and experience under my belt. As well as running my own successful award winning business for the last 8 years.
University was just never a route I decided to go after school, because I didn’t know what I wanted at 17.
Perhaps now I have matured (big lol there) and got life experience, it will add a greater depth to studying and understanding the degree material.
So I will do the thing. Try my best. Really hope that I am not the only one that remembers what it was like to only have 5 TV channels, dial up internet and when Pokemon first became a thing..
This also means I get to buy a new planner and pens and stickers and highlighters, right?

I obviously need one dedicated to academia..
Keep an eye on our YouTube channel for more videos on Japan, travel, home education and you never know I may even do some of those quiet “study with me” videos.
