Ooft it has been a while since I have written anything.

A lot has happened in the last month but I will leave that for another day as it will take a bit of energy and a lot of tissues when writing about it.

This is just a post to say that next week my Open University module opens (they open a few weeks before the course starts in October) and it means, officially, this old creaky skeleton will be dusting off the books and brain to learn new stuff. Or old stuff I already knew but forgot I knew..

Whatever. You get the idea. I’m old and going back to education.

Quite exciting but a bit nerve wracking too.

We got our module books a few weeks ago and I’ve had a little browse through them. The first section on Cleopatra was rather interesting! A lot I didn’t know, and then a lot of shouting and swearing about Romans for a bit (from me).

The next chapter in the module book was on Mary, Mother of Jesus.

Won’t lie. I struggled. And gave up halfway through reading that chapter.

So instead I downloaded books to my new Kindle and have read 5 books since.

I’ve rediscovered my love of reading.

So I’ve started my GoodReads page so that I can keep track of which books I inhale. Follow if you want to. I won’t be leaving book reviews or anything as *effort*, but I am always keen to see what others are reading.

I have already added quite a few to the read list already but it is nice to start keeping track.

Anyway this was just a spontaneous post to dust off the blog. There will be a lot of university stuff coming up, editing our Japan videos still, how our home education is coming along and just life in general.
