About Us

“Once I began to realize that there were no rules and that my path didn’t have to look like everyone else’s, I relaxed and my whole world opened up.”

– G. Brian Benson

This is the part we all hate isn’t is?

I’m trying to learn to be comfortable being uncomfortable.

And talking about myself is in the uncomfortable category so I will try to keep this short and sweet!

Hello! Hiya! Awright?

If the little section to the right hand side that gives a wee intro to the blog hasn’t clued you in then hiya! We are Nicola, Paul and W, a family of 3 currently located in the West of Scotland, the land of 4 seasons in one day and making big plans to create our own personal freedom (sorry we won’t be doing a Mel Gibson impression).

What’s This All About?

This blog is a way of keeping track of our adventures, past and present, because honestly, my brain ain’t what it used to be.

It’s also a nice idea that W can look back on what is essentially a living diary (no Horcruxes here) and see not only pictures and videos (YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@OotAWander) from our travels but the little things that maybe slip being captured by technology and only exists in our memories to be written down.

This blog will also serve as a sort of record resource as well as we move forward with our Home Education with the eventual plans to World School.

So there will be a little mix of past travel blogs, local exploring stories, bit of home education stuff, and information and commentary as we move forward with our plans to go a nomad in the future.
